Seed Foundation - Workplace Experience Program Summer 2024
This summer, Creato Academy welcomed two talented students, Sing and Dora, for a one-month immersive internship through the Seed Foundation Workplace Experience Program at our HKSTP office. Over the course of the program, the students explored real-world roles as a Digital Marketing Assistant and Social Media Content Designer, gaining hands-on experience in tasks like SEO, blog creation, and visual content design. With personalized mentorship and interactive checkpoints, they grew both professionally and personally, culminating in a reflective presentation on their journey. Their creativity, resilience, and enthusiasm truly showcased the potential of the next generation of creators!
CLAP@JC Virtual Internship Program 2024
Creato Academy proudly participated in the CLAP@JC Virtual Internship Program 2024, offering a unique 3-week experience for two talented interns, Grace and Vivian. During the program, they designed and drafted a bilingual course brochure targeting over 500 secondary schools in Hong Kong. This project not only showcased Creato’s creative and tech courses but also provided the interns with hands-on experience in design, content creation, and using GenAI tools. Through this enriching journey, Grace and Vivian honed their skills in Canva, information organization, and market research, while overcoming challenges with creativity and determination. Their outstanding efforts resulted in a professional, engaging brochure for both digital and physical distribution.
Award-Winning Video: "Wetland Park: A Habitat for Nature's Diverse Creatures"
We are thrilled to announce that our students from TMCSS have won a merit award in the "Exploring Hong Kong Biodiversity Short Film Competition”, a video competition organized by the Hong Kong Education Bureau. As part of our "Path To Become a Creator" course, led by our talented instructor Sam, students applied their videography skills to create a compelling documentary on the diverse wildlife at Hong Kong's Wetland Park. Through hands-on experience in video shooting, storytelling, and editing, students not only honed their creative skills but also developed a deeper appreciation for biodiversity. This project was a fantastic showcase of their talent, teamwork, and commitment to environmental awareness.
InnoCarnival 2024
Creato was honored to be part of InnoCarnival 2024, our booth featured interactive exhibits where visitors explored Creato’s unique educational programs. One highlight was our Smart Vending Machine showcase, where students, teachers, and visitors could scan a QR code, answer questions, and receive souvenirs. We were delighted to connect with so many curious minds and showcase the future of tech-driven, creative learning.
Moreover, Creato was thrilled to deliver an inspiring webinar on the evolving fusion of creativity and technology in education by our co-founder, Alex Tong. The session was live streamed and recorded to the InnoCarnival YouTube Channel, engaging a broad audience in discussions about empowering young minds through innovative learning approaches.
We’re excited to continue driving this meaningful conversation and look forward to future collaborations!
IG Reels Workshop with Ewen Cheuk
We are teaching the most trendy multimedia content! IG Reels workshop was held with Ewen Cheuk as our honorable instructor.
We gathered more than 40 students to learn professional reels production techniques, from design thinking to digital marketing, and light students’ fire in becoming a content creator.
It was a fantastic memory to host this course. After Ewen’s insightful sharing, students were engaged in video shooting and editing sessions with him. We spotted many talented and passionate creators in this course!
CAD Site Visit
We are not just talking on papers. Our Aviation Science 101 students has grew interested in the world of aviation and explored opportunities in Hong Kong with us in the Civil Aviation Department (CAD).
Our students listened to an exhibition guided by CAD staff and learnt more about “on-the-ground” operation of aviation industry in Hong Kong and internationally. Not to mention our students’ enjoyable free time to observe runways from a different perspective!
Musical night with GenAI
We are very delighted to join the behind the scene works for an Anniversary Musical night. It was a remarkable experience indeed.
Our team led by Joseph Cheung worked as graphic 3D Design and Programmers. We worked collaboratively with teachers, alumni, and current students to produce background videographies leveraging GenAI technologies.
STEAM Day Aviation Simulator Flying
We are so glad to have offered airplane control simulation for primary school students on STEAM day.
Students got the opportunity to take off, fly and touch down an airplane with a steering wheel, and without any course prerequisite. What a fun experience learning from hands-on activity.
It was such a pleasure to present aviation industry in such entertaining way to all the bright minds and we surely would want more!
STEAM Expo - Smart Vending Machine
Presenting our booth in the STEAM Expo with our smart vending machine!
We greeted our students, teachers and visitors in the STEAM Expo, demonstrating one of the use cases of our vending machines that is to be built by students in the coming academic year.
Students and visitors came and scanned the QR code on our vending machine, answered 3 questions about the school to receive an exquisite souvenir designed by students.
Partnership with Luyi Academy (Taiwan)
We are overwhelmed to have partnered with @LuyiAcademy this summer to offer a Generative AI course in Tainan, Taiwan, we have Andy Kong and Joseph Cheung as our instructors teaching 37 Taiwan students there!
This course incorporates comprehensive knowledge about information literacy, design thinking and AI development. Students will learn and make use of GenAI technology with the latest tools, and practice the powerful multimedia generation abilities of GenAI.
We also offer students the opportunities to compete in teams to create, fostering the growth of leadership and collaboration skills.

GenAI 101 Workshop
Only have half a day? We can still teach you something valuable. The emergence of GenAI aroused interests among secondary school students. In their visit to Hong Kong, we held a GenAI 101 workshop to teach them about text-to-image, image-to-image, prompt engineering, and held a debate about ethical use of GenAI!
It was an astonishing experience to hear the inspiring thoughts from young big thinkers. We are excited to hear more thoughts of GenAI from you too!
